Crossing Bridges

The bridge had a proper barrier separating the two lanes. That was key. A knee-high concrete wall topped with light posts about a car-length apart.

While it wouldn’t be impossible to drive a bus up and over between two of them, it’d be tricky.

So he waited. Leaning over the outer fence to watch. This walkway was intended for repairs rather than foot traffic, but it was wide enough that you didn’t have to be careful to avoid falling off. Another reason to be leaning inwards though.

Ah. Here it was. Shiny black minibus. Old yet not a scratch on it. The only dirt clinging to it was the fresh collection on the tires. Tinted windows. You could never remember what the licence plate said, only that it was a standard one. Nothing about the vehicle was customised.

Not conventionally.

It crawled through the mist. Creeping inexorably towards its destination.

Until he swung himself over the fence right in front of it, straightened his suit jacket, and walked into the focal point of the headlights.

“Hey.” He managed an almost human smile. “We need to talk.”

Prompt was the image.

[I have so much trouble working from image prompts. Does anybody have tips?]
